The Interventional Endoscopy and Ultrasound (I-EUS) group brings together specialists active in the filed of biliopancreatic endoscopy throughout Italy and Europe.
The idea of I-EUS was born in April 2017 by three Italian gastroenterologists with a great view of a shared knowledge.
The purpose was to respond to the many needs and challenges encountered in the rapidly expanding field of biliopancreatic endoscopy. Over the past years, the development of new techniques and instruments, along with the expanding indications in this filed, has brought to face new clinical and therapeutic scenarios, often of high technical and clinical complexity. Nowadays, it is of paramount importance to assess procedural outcomes, including clinical success, technical successes, and safety, analysing data from large cohorts of patients and with long-term follow-up.
Gathering Centers with different levels of expertise allows to perform a really constructive and agile comparison of various experiences and logistic models.
Main activities of the group are:
Clinical and Scientific
- Data collection aimed at sharing experiences and scientific production
- Continuous updating on new literature evidences and publications
Educational
- Organization of events on different topics of biliopancreatic endoscopy
- Supporting local educational activities
